The Humber College Hawks are among the top college basketball teams in Canada. In the past sixteen years they've won four national championships and seven provincial championships. This year, the players and their coach are hoping to add to that list.
Despite their skill — and make no mistake, these kids can play — they've left their hoop dreams behind. They know their futures depend on how they do in the classroom, not how they do on the court.
Though still in their early twenties, these players juggle adult responsibilities well beyond the game — jobs, family obligations, coursework — alongside basketball and each other. This is their story.
